There is a well-known Rumi quote - "Out beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field, I'll meet you there"... I believe this field is love.
Its a very Tantric sentiment actually. When we can put down our judgements about ourselves, other people, and the world. And begin to accept what we are feeling in the moment as part of one big movement of energy... We step into a field I call Love.

I had another bright moment earlier this week when I finally signed a lease for a new home! Me and my sister have been on the hunt for a home for the last month or so. Apartment hunting in LA is a part-time job! I'm thrilled that part is done, and I can finally unpack the suitcase I have been living out of for almost a year.
Yes you read that right, I haven't had my own home for almost 12 months now. After my engagement ended a year and a half ago, the home we were creating together, along with many of the things I recognized as home, came to an end. So I did what made sense for me at the time and honored my desire to travel.
I hope you enjoyed your Independence this weekend! As we were celebrating the birth of the USA, I was filming a birth portrait for a dear friend. Witnessing a birth unfold was inspiring for many reasons. It allowed me to see what it looks like to ride your edge... that moment where you want to quit but you keep going. It reminded me that these bodies are capable of so much and there's a wisdom that moves through them naturally if we do not get in the way. And that most amazing things that get birthed into this world, are often preceded by some challenges and pain. Oh and that women rule for bringing us into this world!....

When you really drop into a feeling of appreciation for anything, watch what happens in your body... I get a warm tingling feeling in my chest, a smile finds its way to my lips, a wave of peace, and happiness comes over me. My whole mood shifts, if I let it. This was a huge change from what I was feeling earlier in the week when I was feeling overwhelmed and burdened by my to-do list.

There are so many ways love is happening for us that go unnoticed. With the swirl of mental input, and our long to-do lists. It's easy to miss the more subtle moments where love hides out. Moments like sipping hot tea or coffee in the morning, sitting in a chair that makes us feel good, or gazing at a full moon.
