It’s easy to forget to prioritze our self-care and nourishment. Especially around the holidays when there is so much to wrap up, people to see, and things to do.

This is why I put things on my calendar that I know will give me the renewal, and fuel I need to keep bringing the best of me in all I do.

Recently I scheduled an escape to Vancouver to get restored after teaching a 5 week series and completing a few other projects. The most important part of this trip was the time I spent in nature, and in spiritual practice.

I’ve found that as much as I love a trip to the spa, a glass of wine, and girl time... without time to immerse myself in body wisdom and sensuality, and draw energy from the elements around me, something is missing.

I used to not have language for what that something was, it felt like a longing or a hunger with no clear cause. I wanted to feel more connection, I wanted romance, adventure, epic love!

Through my Tantric practice I've discovered that this longing was a deep desire to connect with something greater than me and this physical existence. You can call it God, Goddess, Spirit, Source, Universe, (insert your name for it here) but naming it is not the same as claiming it!

To quench my longing, I had to travel into the depths of my being. I found a gateway to the epic love and bliss I longed for through many of the practices I teach, and will be sharing in our Yoni Yoga Immersion.
