My Word For 2021

Here we are in 2021…..

And it's lookin' a lot like 2020 continued… the people of earth are still facing off with Covid and the United States of America is still confronting all the things that keep us from being united.

But there is also a feeling of new possibilities in the air. The possibility to keep building on all we have learned in this last few years.

Why I Am Celebrating

I know there’s a lot of fear and concern circulating right now about the Coronavirus…. I hope you are tending your minds and your immune systems.

And... I just celebrated a birthday on the same day as International Women’s Day! So I’m celebrating the woman I have grown into, and am continuing to become.

Being a Black Woman who’s a Pisces…. February & March are important months for me to remember what I am made of as we reflect on the contributions of blacks and women throughout history.

My Word For 2020

Here we are in a new year.... the start of a new decade!

I was on hiatus the last month, taking time to reflect, rejoice, release and renew!  It feels good to be diving back in with teaching, writing, and sharing with you.

For the last few years after I reflect on the year past and create intentions for the year to come, I try to hone in on one word that will support all my intentions for the year.

I was recently interviewed by the ladies from the pleasure positive  podcast “clit talk”, and we had a blast digging into the riches of Tantra and having a sensual self-care practice.

The energy turned up in the studio when we ended the conversation with all of our tops coming off and sharing a live experience of breast massage together... I LOVE my job :)

You can tune in, and practice along with us.

I've Missed You - (updates & new offerings)

I’ve missed being in touch! I've been quiet the last few months because I’ve had my hands full with new developments both professionally & personally.

In addition to shooting new content that I'll be sharing soon, consulting on an independent film that I'll share more about later, & booking several awesome voice over jobs...

I led a two month immersive Women’s Program called Body of Bliss and had the great honor of taking a intimate journey with a brave group of women into the realms of their bodies, hearts, and sexuality.

What is a Yoni?

Yoni is a sanskrit word that means ‘source’ or 'sacred space’. The space it is referring to are a woman's genitals and reproductive organs. But it’s not just referring to anatomy, Yoni is a word that also encompasses the energy and potential for wisdom, life, and power that comes from this space.

So while there may be a lot of woo-woo connotations to this word, I still love it for the holistic meaning it gives this important part of a woman’s body. In contrast the latin origin of the word vagina, means ‘sheath'.... as in where you would store a sword. Call me crazy, but I prefer to define my lady parts as a sacred space.

Speak your truth even if your voice shakes

"Speak the truth even if your voice shakes" - Maggie Kuhn

I love the quote above because for many years this is exactly what happened to me. Every time I expressed something that was vulnerable or made me emotional, my voice would shake…. a lot!

It made me hate these moments, I would feel weak, and embarrassed by my shaky voice. I would feel like no one would listen or take me seriously. Or worse... that they would pity me, and make fun of, or de-value the very sensitive truth I was sharing with them.

Happy Fall

Monday brings the fall equinox in the northern hemisphere, a moment when we have almost equal day and night.  But when you spend most of your day between four walls staring at a computer, it's easy to miss these kinds of wonders of nature(sad face). SO I'll be spending some time this weekend enjoying the last days of summer outside! In Taoism, the energy of fall is about letting go. You know… letting things 'fall' away!  It's a time when the expansive energy of summer begins to wind its way back inward, moving towards the stillness that arrives with winter.
